Games To Play Bored At Work

Posted on by admin

Admit it, we all have days at work where there’s nothing much on our to-do lists. While Facebook is a good time waster during such times, there is always the danger of getting caught when you slack off so blatantly. Luckily for us, there are a few online games specifically designed for play during office hours.

1) Crash Planning

A simple block swapping game. Think of it as candy crush, but in the form of excel sheets!

The purpose of these games is to have fun, relax and do team building at work. These games are a subcategory of video call games and are useful for virtual game nights and team building online. This list includes: Zoom games for adults; online games to play on Zoom; fun games to play on Zoom with coworkers; Zoom party games for large groups. Games at Miniclip. Welcome to Miniclip.com, the leading online games site, where you can play a huge range of free online games including action games, sports games, puzzle games, mobile games, iPhone games, Android games and many more.

2) PAC-MAN on Google Doodle

This classic game needs no introduction. The best part is that you can just quickly type something into the Google search bar should anybody walk past your desk. Bonus: Click on the “Insert Coin” button twice to get Ms Pac-Man as a second player!

3) Leadership

Stop the spaceship from crashing into the mercilessly sharp peaks of a graph. The premise of the game looks simple enough, but it is surprisingly challenging. If you enjoy Flappy Bird, then you would love this.

4) Cookie Clicker

The aim of this game is simply to produce cookies. You can purchase upgrades to increase the number of cookies produced per second and unlock achievements. But be warned, this game contains flashy graphics which is bound to draw some attention to your monitor. The good thing though, is that this game does not need you to keep your eyes on it constantly, so you can switch windows quickly if you hear anyone approaching your desk.

5) Candy Box 2

With its ASCII art and simple gameplay, Candy Box 2 is the perfect role-playing browser game to play discreetly at work. Players get one candy per second, and these candies can be used as currency to progress in the game. Likewise, this game does not require constant monitoring, so feel free to play it whenever you are taking a break from your work. You can even save your progress and come back to it the next working day!

6) 2048

Like numbers and challenging puzzle games? Then try 2048. How it works is that you use your arrow keys to move number tiles in a 4 x 4 square area. When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into one tile with a value that is two times of the previous number. Try and see if you can get to the 2048 tile!

7) Clicking Bad

Based on the hit TV series Breaking Bad, this game puts you in the role of an aspiring dealer of (virtual) methamphetamine. Similar to Cookie Clicker, you start off with a modest operation but will soon be able to purchase upgrades to increase your output. If you ever thought that you had what it takes to become a major drug kingpin, here’s one way you can test it out (harmlessly, of course).

Looking for fun or productive activities to do at home? This list is for you! Around the world we’re all being affected by the Coronavirus, or COVID-19. Many people are wisely staying home and practicing social distancing to avoid being exposed. Most of us are going to be stuck at home for a while, so we may as well make the most of it. Today I’m sharing 50 fun activities to do when you’re bored at home and social distancing during this pandemic. These activities are great whether you live alone or have a partner and kids.

Why Practice Social Distancing?

Social distancing controls the spread of viruses. The Coronavirus is spread by person to person contact. It spreads through respiratory droplets that are produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes, which then lands in the nose or mouth of people within a 6 foot radius. The virus can also live on a surface for 3 days and transfer to anyone who touches it.

The less you’re around other people, the less chance you have of spreading or contracting Coronavirus.

Avoid public places, cancel travel plans, and don’t attend social gatherings.

If possible, work from home.

To keep yourself and your loved ones safe, practice social distancing and the safety tips below.

Essential Safety Tips

The most important thing all of us can do right now is follow the advice of health experts and do everything we can to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

From the CDC website:

Clean your hands often

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
  • If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
  • Avoid touchingyour eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.

Avoid close contact

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Put distance between yourself and otherpeople if COVID-19 is spreading in your community.

If you are sick

  • Stay home. If you need to go to the hospital call them beforehand so they can be ready for you.
  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze or use the inside of your elbow.
  • Immediately wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Wear a facemask.

Clean and disinfect

  • Clean AND disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, handles, desks, phones, keyboards, toilets, faucets, and sinks.

Follow the advice of your local government.

Error on the side of caution. Stay home and stay safe.

Look after the elderly and those with prior health issues, they are the most vulnerable.

Ok, onto the fun social distancing home activities!
